I had a hard time deciding how much I should share here. And what topics were okay to talk about. And which of my interests I should discuss. There are far too many for anyone to be interested in all of the same things that I am.
I’m a lot of things. I’m an engineer, a wife, a daughter, a sister, a crazy cat lady, a runner, a handyman, a big ol’ dork, an introvert, a NY Jets fan, a hiker, a worrier, a problem solver, a gardener, a writer, and an artist. I dabble in a lot of different interests and am an expert at close to none of them. So much so that when contemplating writing this blog I had a hard time coming up with an overarching topic and almost decided not to write one, for lack of sufficient knowledge on any one topic. That is, until I realized that something about everything just annoys the crap out of me. And I got a lot to say about those things.
But for now I’ll say this.
I live in the Middle of Nowhere, New York with my husband, an unfortunately-named grouch of a cat, and a hyperactive but loveable dog. By day I am a 9 to 5er doing the engineering thing in a company full of stereotypically but mostly well-meaning white, middle-aged men. Which means that after spending the day with the Good Ol’ Boys Club, that by night I am mostly too exhausted and/or frustrated to be much more than a couch potato. But I want to be a writer, and to paraphrase Epictetus, writers write. So that’s why I’m here.
